Peata lá a bhí ann faoi ard chúraim Tadhg Harrington, fear dúchais Ghúgáin Barra,
ar an 24 Feabhra 2024. Towering hills, tall trees, cascading waterfalls, meandering
streams and Abha Chorcaí, an Laoi formed part of the natural beauty of our
surroundings. There were plenty of sheep also to greet us on our treck including one
beautiful, black fleeced ewe. Clare Shelley’s excellent organisational skills came into
play once more when one of her flock of walkers appeared imithe ar strae. However,
after her rolla, mall, cúramach, the flock was once again, to all our relief, le chéile
arís! Walkers did indeed feel blessed by such an uplifting day. This was reinforced
later by Staff in Tigh Sheartáin, where a delicious lunch of homemade vegetable
soup and sandwiches was served, in a most hospitable manner, with extra helpings
for all if required, and the joyous comment ‘You were blessed with the weather!’ Who
could ask for anything more!
