Steady Now For Waterloo

Mary Fitzgerald, who led us, had us muster at “The Woollen Mills” for a Blarney- Waterloo-Blarney walk. As we got nearer to the off, the elements grew ever more menacing. Undaunted, she led us on. Some early casualties, reinvigorated by coffee, lived to walk another day! With a kilometre under our belts, the rain, sleet and hailstones yielded to a bright sunshine which accompanied us back to base. As a gift from nature’s bounty, a pair of buzzards overhead was brought to our attention by Ann B along the way. A wide choice of hot or cold food and lively chat brought our outing to a happy conclusion back at “The Woollen Mills”.
