Following a very informative talk by Mary D’Arcy, Financial Crime Lead, Banking & Payments Federation, Ireland, a captive audience of retired teachers learned about Smishing, WhatsApp Scams, Squishing, Phone Scams, Distraction fraud, investment scams and online scams.
FRAUDSMART was launched in 2017 in conjunction with member banks and runs a number of campaigns. These aim to raise consumer and business of the latest financial fraud activity and trends. Simple and impartial advice is provided on how to best protect themselves and their resources.
