Going with the Travel Department, our annual Cork RTA trip saw 51 of us descend on Toscalano da Moderna on the western shores of Lake Garda. A mixture of leisure days and 3 bus+boat trips to various places within the lake region such as Limone, Malcesine,Riva,Torri de Benaco and Sirmione, gave us a broad variety of sightseeing, exploring small Italian towns, sampling local cuisine and visiting a vineyard/olive producing private estate.
Some ventured further afield to Verona and coupled with nightly singsongs, quizzes and card playing or just chilling out after dinner there was something for everyone. And utter bliss to land in Cork Airport and be on the way home shortly after landing. A wonderful start to October without the crowds and searing heat of earlier months.
