Cabo Girao has the highest cliffs in Europe
Camara de Lobos is a lovely little fishing village, which was about 30 minutes’ walk from the hotel.
Santana Sao Roque do Faial is an impressive volcanic cliff.
Porto Moniz Here, on the extreme north western point of the island, a huge sea water pool has been created by building a breakwater around it. Some of our group swam there.
