Our final hill walk for 2017 was held on 14th November. 30 enthusiastic walkers gathered at the Celtic Ross Hotel in the morning, before setting out for the walk to Mill Cove. Our leader for the day was Seán McCarthy, whose local knowledge knew no bounds! We were regaled with stories, some historic, some more legendary as we made our way along the paths. When we returned to Rosscarbery we gathered at the monument commemorating three Irish patriots who had associations with the town: O’Donovan Rossa, Michael Collins and Tom Barry.
