The following events are planned for June. Please note that a text message will be sent closer to each event. The Ramblers group will be sent an email outlining the details of the rambles, as soon as they are finalised.
June 3rd (Friday): Social coffee morning, Clayton Silver Springs Hotel, 11 a.m.
June 9th (Thursday): Walk in Ballinspittle Woods, starting at 11 a.m. Lunch in the Speckled Door at 1.00 p.m. Walking Tour of Kinsale for those interested, starting at 3 p.m. (Leader: Dermot Ryan).
June 11th (Saturday): RTAI Cork Branch Spring/ Summer meeting. Oriel House, Ballincollig, at 11 a.m.
- Our choir will perform
- There will be an update on current events, from the committee
- There will be an address by Mr. Billy Sheehan, General Secretary RTAI.
- Lunch. €10 per person. The cost of this lunch is subsidised by the INTO Districts 12 and 16, Cork.
June 15th (Wednesday): Proposed Ramblers walk to Musheramore.
June 20th (Monday): BLUE: Exhibition of Quilting, Patchwork and Dyeing. This exhibition runs for the month of June at Bishopstown Library, Wilton, Cork. On Monday 20th, Margaret Walsh, who is a member of the group of quilters and also a member of RTAI Cork, will conduct a guided visit to the exhibition at 11 a.m. This exhibition features dyeing techniques, patchwork, quilting and appliqué work, and is a MUST – SEE for those with an interest in needlework and art! Contact Mags McCarthy before Mon 13th to book your place. Due to the nature of the exhibition and the size of the venue numbers are limited. Those attending may decide to go for a cuppa afterwards, at The Wilton Pub.
